Filipina Indie Film Star Mercedes Cabral

Filipina actress Mercedes Cabral stars in Kinatay, the independent Filipino film which won the award for Best Director at the 62nd Cannes Film Festival this year. A darling of the Philippine indie film scene, Mercedes is no stranger to Cannes: she also starred in the Philippine entry last year, and won the title of Most Beautiful Actress. As you can see from this slideshow of photos, the freelance model and fine arts student certainly deserves the title.

Together with her equally fine Filipina colleagues Annie Rose Dumigpi and Jobie Reprado, Elizabeth serves as a bunny for Playboy Philippines.
