Filipina gamer-blogger-cosplayer idol Alodia Gosiengfiao and her sister Ashley wear cute Chinese costumes to endorse ZXOnline, the Chinese MMORPG from Philippine game publisher E-games.

Alodia also appears on the cover of E-games’ cosplay calendar. If you’re in the Philippines April 4th, you can catch Alodia at her first official fans’ day. Geekery never looked this good.

Alodia Gosiengfiao Judges Anime Makeup Contest

Anime and cosplay have hit the mainstream so hard in the Philippines that even local makeup artists are getting in on the act. The Philippine International Cosmetologists Association (PICA) is holding a hair and makeup competition today, and one of their categories involves composing an “anime look”.

PICA President Fanny Serrano taps a real anime fan to judge for that category: Filipina cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao. He even asked her to blog about it. Smart move on both counts.
